How to Request Deletion

You can request deletion of your WekPlug account and associated personal data at any time through the app account settings, the in-app Help & Support feature, or by emailing privacy@wekplug.com. If you email us, use the subject line "Data deletion request" and include the phone number used on your WekPlug account, your full name, and whether you used WekPlug as a client, worker, or both. This helps us find the correct account and prevent unauthorized deletion.

What We Delete or Anonymize

When a valid deletion request is approved, WekPlug deletes or anonymizes personal profile data, contact details, profile photos, identity images, device tokens, linked usage data, and other account information where possible. Deleted accounts cannot be recovered. If you later want to use WekPlug again, you may need to create a new account and complete any required verification again.

Timing

We aim to acknowledge privacy and data deletion requests within 7 business days. Approved deletion requests are normally processed within 30 days, unless we need more time because of identity checks, active disputes, legal obligations, fraud prevention, safety reviews, or payment records that must be retained.

Data We May Need to Keep

Some records cannot be deleted immediately because WekPlug must keep them for legal, financial, safety, dispute, or compliance reasons. Payment, payout, commission, tax, and audit records may be retained for 7 years. Dispute and complaint records may be retained for 7 years. Fraud and abuse prevention markers may be retained for 3-5 years. Legal-hold records may be retained for as long as required by law or lawful authority request. Retained data is not used for marketing and is accessed only for legal, financial, security, dispute, fraud-prevention, or compliance purposes.

Facebook, Instagram, and WhatsApp Data

If you contact WekPlug through Facebook, Instagram, or WhatsApp, you can request deletion of support conversation data that WekPlug controls by emailing privacy@wekplug.com. Meta may separately retain platform records, delivery logs, account activity, or messages under Meta's own policies. To delete information held directly by Meta, use the privacy and account tools provided by Facebook, Instagram, or WhatsApp.
