Purpose of This Agreement
This User Agreement is a practical summary of how WekPlug works, what users can expect, and their responsibilities. The Terms of Service, Privacy Policy, and product-specific checkout rules control if there is any inconsistency. By creating an account or using WekPlug, you agree to the applicable legal documents under the laws of the Republic of Zambia.
What WekPlug Does
WekPlug is a technology platform operated by WEKPLUG INNOVATIONS that connects clients looking for services with independent workers offering services. WekPlug does not employ workers, provide the services itself, control prices, or act as a recruitment agency. Service agreements are directly between users unless a product-specific term says otherwise. Specialised features may include company/team management, verified-tier safety support, car health records, job tracking, protected payment workflows, Shop Quotes, and Personal Assistant on Demand.
1. Eligibility and Registration
To use WekPlug, you must be at least 18 years old, provide truthful information, have a valid phone number, and maintain only one account per person. Workers must complete identity verification, submit valid government ID, and provide a real-time selfie. Police Clearance Certificates and relevant professional certificates may be submitted optionally where applicable for additional trust and safety review.
2. Code of Conduct
Users must treat others with respect, communicate honestly, provide accurate job descriptions and pricing, complete agreed work responsibly, and report problems promptly. Users must not harass, discriminate, impersonate others, share accounts, post false information, spam, solicit outside the platform, use offensive language, or manipulate ratings and reviews.
3. Worker Responsibilities
Workers agree to maintain professional standards, respond promptly, arrive on time, provide quality service, bring needed tools and equipment, keep clients informed, report issues, maintain required licenses or permits, pay their own taxes, and follow applicable laws.
3A. Shop Owner Responsibilities
Shop owners must submit truthful shop details, a genuine storefront photo, and a Mobile Money number they control. Approval is required before Shop Manager leads can be received. Shop owners must quote accurately, keep stock and collection information current, prepare paid orders before marking them ready, release goods only after the applicable WekPlug collection check, and honour lawful merchant, warranty, and product obligations. After a valid in-app collection, the net shop payout is sent automatically to the registered Mobile Money number. Shop owners are responsible for keeping that number accurate. Commission debt from confirmed pay-at-shop sales may pause new quote leads until cleared through the Mobile Money prompt. Eligible clients may leave honest ratings and reviews after an in-app Shop Quote purchase.
4. Client Responsibilities
Clients agree to provide accurate job descriptions, clear requirements, correct locations, and safe working environments. Clients must use the secure in-app payment flow before work begins and release payment only when work is satisfactorily completed or handled through the dispute/observation flow. Where Pay in Stages is available, the client pays and approves one stage at a time.
5. Platform Commissions
WekPlug is free to join and browse. Workers pay a tier-based commission only on completed jobs: Bronze 12%, Silver 11%, Gold 10%, Platinum/Elite 9%. For cash jobs, commission becomes a wallet debt. Workers with K200 or more in debt may be blocked from accepting new jobs until the amount is cleared through the in-app payment portal.
6. Job Process and Expectations
A typical job flow is: client posts a job, workers receive it or express interest, a worker submits a quote where needed, the client selects a worker, the worker accepts and travels, work is completed, the client confirms completion, and both parties can leave ratings. Personal Assistant on Demand uses a structured task list and booking estimate; Shop Quotes are supplied by independent shops; urgent-worker matching is not an emergency-service dispatch. Cancellations should only happen for legitimate reasons. Worker cancellations may return the job to the marketplace and may affect Reliability Score. The app shows the relevant cancellation, refund, or rebooking options for the job stage and payment method.
7. Payments and Pricing
In-app payments are processed through approved providers and released only after the applicable completion conditions are met. The checkout flow shows the amount and any separately displayed charges before payment. Cash payment is allowed only when WekPlug shows or records a cash or emergency flow; the agreed cash amount must be entered in the app so history, reviews, safety records, and commission remain accurate. Workers set ordinary-job prices; Personal Assistant on Demand uses a booking estimate that may change only with the client's approval for a material change; Shop Quote prices are supplied by independent shops. Materials and third-party goods are separate unless clearly included. Repair-type work may have an observation period before release so the client can confirm the work holds up.
8. Location Tracking
Location is used during active jobs for worker arrival visibility, safety, accountability, job matching, distance calculations, and nearby opportunities. Tracking stops when the job is completed or when required location permissions/services are turned off.
9. Ratings and Reviews
Clients can rate workers and leave written reviews after completion. Reviews must be honest, based on actual experience, and free from offensive, discriminatory, false, or malicious content. Reviews affect worker visibility and reputation.
10. Dispute Resolution
If a problem arises, users should document it and report it through support with relevant evidence. WekPlug may review the job record, including before-and-after photos, voice notes, messages, relevant location or arrival records, payment references, and other evidence, only as reasonably necessary to handle the report. Possible outcomes can include record correction, job reassignment, account action, release, partial refund, full refund, or referral to a payment provider or authority. A user may request a review through support if material information was missed. Nothing in this Agreement removes a right that cannot lawfully be excluded.
11. Data and Privacy
WekPlug collects and processes personal information, verification documents, job and transaction data, payment and payout records, and location data according to the Privacy Policy and applicable Zambian law. Users have rights to access, correct, delete where applicable, and withdraw optional consent.
12. Account Suspension and Termination
Accounts may be suspended or terminated for violating policies, false information, fake documents, harassment, fraud, repeated complaints, payment bypass, commission debt over K200, low Reliability Score, unsafe conduct, or legal violations.
13. Limitation of Responsibility
WekPlug does not guarantee jobs, income, service quality, payment provider uptime, or dispute outcomes. WekPlug is not responsible for injuries, damages, losses, poor workmanship, pricing disputes, or delays caused by third parties.
14. Independent Contractor Status
Workers are independent contractors, not WekPlug employees. They are responsible for taxes, insurance, licences, tools, equipment, schedules, pricing, and quality of work. Company or manager accounts are responsible for their team members' conduct and internal payouts. Participating shops remain responsible for their stock, goods, product information, warranties, and legal merchant obligations.
15. Safety Guidelines
Users should verify identity, keep communication in the app, report suspicious behavior, and avoid unsafe job conditions. Workers should assess job-site safety and bring appropriate safety equipment. Clients should communicate hazards and be present where needed. Urgent-worker matching and the SOS feature are not police, ambulance, fire, medical, rescue, or public emergency services. For immediate danger or a life-threatening emergency, contact the relevant public emergency authority directly. Users must not rely on WekPlug for emergency dispatch, medical advice, or rescue.
16. Governing Law
This User Agreement is governed by the laws of the Republic of Zambia. Any disputes will be resolved under Zambian law and jurisdiction.
17. Changes to This Agreement
WekPlug may update this User Agreement from time to time. Significant changes may be communicated through app notifications, SMS, or updated pages. Continued use means you accept the updated version.
